The North is vast and cold. Stoic and calculating. Unforgiving but oddly loving. Here, the silence stretches far and wide, making snow deafening. Eerie, the cries of wolves as they echo through the forest. Yet those of the North know no other song.

Ranking Explanations

[ King ]

The king role is hereditary and is currently being held by house sun-eye. Named for the family to have a tendency to have bright yellow to amber eyes. They take the suffix "moon" after traveling to [ mountain name here ] and resting at the top, where a jagged column of ice juts out into the open sky. There, they'll rest under the moon and get a series of fever-dreams. When they wake, a cold, terrible chill will course through their body, one that is uncurable. When they get over the sickness, they will gain their 9 lives.

[ Queen ]

This role can be taken by any molly that the King desires, however, it's usually arranged by the King's parents before he can make that choice. Ofttimes, the queen is from a different kingdom but it can vary. The queen can rule as regent if the king dies and her children are too young.

[ Advisor(s) ]

Older cats or cats that the king trusts and appoints to advise him. Sometimes, cats from previous rulerships advise the new kings with their aged wisdom. If they find a king unruly, they'll decline him the throne and exile him. Most of the time, they'll find a younger brother or sister from the same line that they find fit to rule. But if they find none of them suitable and if the line ended at the previous king, they'll vote one of the council members to the throne. They may look at the previous king's kits to appoint to the throne but it's up to them if they trust his children.

[ Nobility ]

This role consists of the advisors' families and the royal family. Other roles can be bumped up to nobility if they do a deed worthy of being of the role. Cats of nobility can attend meetings only meant for the council and the court. They can live in the royal dens, which are private and personal to each family. Nobles can get up to four apprentices. Giving their final name is also a privilege if they wish. They can claim any apprentice they want as long as they notify the king.
